Description
Description
Domaine de Cristia Châteauneuf-du-Pape Renaissance 2022 is a powerful and elegant Rhône red wine from one of the Southern Rhône's most celebrated appellations. This cuvée combines old-vine Grenache with Mourvèdre to create a rich, structured wine with impressive depth and aging potential.
The 2022 Renaissance is composed of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvèdre. The Grenache comes from approximately 110-year-old vines, while the Mourvèdre comes from vines around 55 years old. The wine is aged for approximately 18–24 months in a combination of demi-muids and barrels, with a portion of new oak.
The nose reveals ripe dark fruit, cherry, licorice, menthol, pine resin, herbs, and warm spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with dense fruit, refined yet firm tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, complex finish.
