Description
Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo DOCG Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi 2018 750ml
Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi 2018 is a refined and age-worthy Barolo produced from the estate’s historic Costa Grimaldi vineyard in Terlo, within the Barolo commune of Piedmont. Made exclusively from Nebbiolo, this limited-production wine expresses the elegance, structure, and distinctive terroir of one of the region’s celebrated vineyard sites.
The wine shows an intense garnet-red color with developing amber tones and an expressive bouquet of violet, red berries, rose, spices, and earthy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet polished, with refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of red fruit, licorice, spice, and mineral character. With age, the wine develops additional complexity reminiscent of truffle, leather, and dried spices.
The 2018 vintage received 93 points from James Suckling, Wine Critic, and 92 points from Wine Spectator and Falstaff. It was matured for approximately 30 months in oak, following fermentation and maceration in steel and concrete tanks.
