"Tonight’s dram takes me (virtually) back to the Linkwood distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland for a 18-year-old Woven Honor Single Malt opens with tree-ripened crunchy red apples, a few peaches, overripe pears, and charred pineapple; followed by freshly-cracked black pepper, cinnamon, vanilla bean, nutmeg, and clove; finishing with grassy and floral notes, along with lemon zest and toasted coconut late in the finish. The flavors are bold – more like a 55+% ABV (actually 46%). Drink slow, drink long, drink a variety, drink often."
