The 2020 K Vintners King Coal is a powerful and sophisticated red wine from Washington State's Royal Slope AVA. Crafted by renowned winemaker Charles Smith, this exceptional blend is sourced entirely from the prestigious Stoneridge Vineyard, known for its distinctive caliche and basalt-rich soils.

Composed of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Syrah, this full-bodied wine delivers an intense aromatic profile of black cherry, fresh tobacco, cacao, dried thyme, and wet stone. The rich, layered palate reveals concentrated dark berries, black currant, savory spices, leather, and subtle earthy nuances, supported by firm tannins and impressive structure.

Fermented with native yeast and co-fermented in French oak tanks, the wine spends 22 months aging on its lees in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new. With remarkable depth, elegance, and aging potential, King Coal is an outstanding expression of Washington winemaking.
