Inspired by the crescent beach of Sandend Bay, Glenglassaugh Sandend is matured in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks for luscious waves of flavour.
Named for the bay that the Glenglassaugh distillery overlooks, Sandend features malt finished in ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso, and ex-manzanilla casks bottled at a robust and flavorful 101 proof. Scents of vanilla bean, tropical fruit, honey, minerality, and a fresh coastal breeze round out a beautiful nose. The palate opens with notes of tropical and orchard fruits followed by honeycake, vanilla, and ginger. Baking spices linger through the finish, complimented by an ocean-breeze salinity.
