Description
Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Monvigliero 2019 750ml
Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Monvigliero 2019 is an elegant and highly collectible Barolo from the prestigious Monvigliero Cru in Verduno, Piedmont, Italy. Produced exclusively from Nebbiolo, this limited-production wine showcases the refined floral character, vibrant red fruit, and beautifully structured tannins associated with this celebrated vineyard site.
The wine displays a bright garnet-red color and an expressive bouquet of wild red berries, dried strawberry, rose, violet, orange peel, and delicate spices. The palate is full yet elegant, revealing layers of black cherry, raspberry, red fruit, nutmeg, licorice, and subtle earthy notes, supported by fresh acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins. The finish is long, savory, and persistent.
The 2019 vintage received 96 points from Wine Advocate and Kerin O'Keefe, 95 points from Wine Enthusiast, and 93 points from James Suckling and Wine Spectator. Wine Advocate noted that the wine benefits from extended aeration and has considerable aging potential.
