George Remus Lou Gehrig Reserve Bourbon Whiskey 2026 Limited Edition 750ml

Stirsman assembled four carefully selected components to build a bourbon of genuine complexity. The backbone is a 70% share of 2017 high-rye bourbon (49% rye mash bill), grounded by a 14% portion of older 2016 bourbon at 44% rye for added depth and maturity. Two smaller components from 2019 round out the blend  an 8% share of nearly pure corn bourbon for sweetness and body, and an 8% share of a 36% rye expression for structure and spice. The result is a blend that earns every sip.

Nose: Warm cinnamon and nutmeg lead the way, wrapped in hints of leather and clove — inviting, complex, and immediately distinctive.

Palate: Brown sugar and plum arrive first, soft and generous, followed by a cloud of marshmallow sweetness. Midway through, the rye backbone asserts itself with cocoa, oak, and a savory warmth that keeps it grounded.

Finish: Long, unhurried, and deeply satisfying — baking spice, toasted cedar, and a slow burn of cinnamon that lingers like the final out of a perfect game.
