The Loch Gorm is one of Kilchoman's most beloved annual releases — a sherry-driven expression that stands apart from the distillery's characteristically bright, bourbon-influenced core range. The 2026 Edition marks a milestone: a minimum of 10 years of maturation in oloroso sherry butts sourced from Bodega José y Miguel Martín, making this the oldest standard Loch Gorm release to date.

A full decade in premium oloroso casks transforms Kilchoman's peated Islay spirit into something deeply complex and darkly luxurious. Rich sherry-soaked fruit builds from the very first pour — dried figs, dark cherries, and sultanas layered over waves of rich baking spice, dark chocolate, and treacle. Kilchoman's characteristic peat smoke weaves through it all, grounding the sweetness with an earthy, maritime depth that is unmistakably Islay. The finish is long, warming, and beautifully balanced — oak spice, dried fruit, and a slow, satisfying fade of smoke.
