Matsui Umeshu Whisky Liqueur 700mL
Matsui Umeshu is a plum liqueur produced at Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. It starts with premium Japanese plums (ume), then is fortified/blended with whisky from Matsui using soft mountain water from Mt. Daisen. The result is a smooth, fruit-sweet liqueur with a whisky-influence, very approachable, perfect to drink neat, over ice, or mixed with soda.

Appearance: Light amber / golden amber.

Nose: Luscious plum and dried fruit (raisins), honey, a hint of oak, and some vanilla.

Palate: Sweet & fruity (plum, apricot), balanced by whisky notes (oak, slight spice, maybe black tea), with a tartness from the plums giving freshness.

Finish: Rich and lingering; the sweetness remains, along with vanilla, a soft spicy/warm whisky note, and a gentle tart plum aftertaste
