• This is Woodford Reserve’s first high-proof rye release, called Barrel Strength Rye.

• Proof: 125.1 (which is about 62.55% ABV).

• Bottle size: 700 mL. 

• Mash Bill: Pre-Prohibition style — 53% rye, plus corn and malted barley. 

• Non-chill filtered / “true barrel strength” — no water added to cut proof. 

Tasting Profile

• Color: Described as “orange marmalade.” 

• Aroma: Pepper, clove, nutmeg, toasted oak, vanilla bean, and delicate orange oils.

• Palate / Taste: Juicy orange, bold baking spice (clove, nutmeg), hints of leather and tobacco.

• Finish: Long, with citrus and notes of unsweetened tea.
