Conundrum Red is the playful side of the Wagner Family of Wines, the same family behind the legendary Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Third-generation winemaker Charlie Wagner grew up watching his grandfather blend wines at the kitchen table without rules or boundaries, and that same spirit of fearless exploration lives in every bottle of Conundrum Red.

Sourced from premier California winegrowing regions where dark red varietals thrive, the 2022 blend brings together Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon into a wine that is serious yet lighthearted, richly layered yet immediately approachable. Tannins are rounded out by the natural ripeness of the fruit for a texture that is full-bodied and smooth in equal measure.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and inviting with ripe berries, plum, and dark cherry, warmed by chocolate brownie, cocoa, BBQ smoke, mesquite, and a hint of leather. Intoxicating and layered without being heavy.
Palate: Bold and lush with dark chocolate, chocolate-covered cherries, dried fruit, ripe plum, and a hint of blackberry. A wisp of smokiness adds depth and character, while smooth, rounded tannins create a silky, full-bodied texture throughout.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with lingering layers of dark fruit, warm spice, and baking chocolate that trail off slowly, leaving you not quite ready for the evening to end.
