A limited-edition Japanese single malt from Eigashima Shuzo’s White Oak Distillery, aged for seven years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 50% ABV and non-chill filtered, this release shows the distillery’s balance of gentle peat, sweetness, and oak maturity. Only about 492 bottles were produced for the U.S. market.
Tasting Notes (Summary):
Aromas of pecan, vanilla, and stewed fruit lead into a palate of clove, black pepper, and toasted oak. The finish is long and layered, with notes of honeyed peaches, grilled figs, and a touch of sea salt. Smooth yet complex, it combines bourbon cask sweetness with subtle spice and smoke.
