This Ardnamurchan Sauternes Cask Release is a limited-edition single malt from the rugged Ardnamurchan Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It’s noted for its distinctive maturation process that combines traditional Scotch whisky styles with the influence of French dessert wine casks:

The spirit is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels.

Then it’s finished in ex-Sauternes wine barriques, which once held rich sweet white wine from Bordeaux, France.
