Doc Swinson’s La Mente, meaning “The Mind” in Spanish, is a limited Exploratory Cask Series Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. It is one of three expressions that contribute to the flavor profile of Doc Swinson’s Alter Ego Triple Cask Bourbon, allowing the Oloroso-finished component to shine on its own at blender’s strength.

The bourbon begins with a blend of two high-rye bourbon mash bills and spends nearly six years in #4 char American white oak before receiving an extended finish in Oloroso Sherry casks. The sherry influence adds remarkable depth and brightness, bringing layers of orange peel, dried apricot, roasted nuts, almond, honey, caramel, and baking spices.

Bottled at 113.8 Proof (56.9% ABV) for Batch 23-005, La Mente delivers a rich, full-bodied profile with pronounced fruit, nutty sweetness, citrus, and warm spice.
