Since 1881, King of Kentucky has stood as one of America's most storied bourbon names. Revived by Brown-Forman in 2018 after a 50-year absence, the brand offers whiskey connoisseurs a rare window into Brown-Forman's most exceptional barrel archives — and this release marks an historic milestone.

For the first time in over 90 years, King of Kentucky introduces a Small Batch collection. Batch 3 is the boldest and most powerful expression of this three-batch limited series — the highest proof, the longest finish, and the most oak-driven of the trio. Built from approximately 100 hand-selected barrels aged 12 to 18 years across multiple Brown-Forman rickhouses, these barrels were originally reserved as single barrel candidates before being set aside to concentrate into something extraordinary.

Aged in Brown-Forman's iconic heat-cycled warehouses — where steam drives temperatures to 85–90°F during colder months to push maturation further — the evaporation is extreme, with some barrels retaining as little as 16% of their original volume. The result is an intensely concentrated bourbon of rare depth and power.

Bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof) without chill filtration, Batch 3 is the highest-proof expression of the series, unlocking a deeper, richer dimension of the whiskey. As Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris explains, each proof highlights something distinct: at 110 proof, dark chocolate, bold oak, and concentrated spice take the lead — commanding, complex, and built for those who want the full force of King of Kentucky.
