Lecompte Calvados 5 Year is a classic Calvados Pays d’Auge from Normandy, France, crafted from carefully selected apple eaux-de-vie and aged for five years.
The spirit first spends time in small new French oak casks with a medium toast, developing delicate vanilla and oak notes. It is then transferred to older, larger casks, allowing the fruit and wood characteristics to come together in a balanced and refined profile.
The palate highlights ripe apple, fresh fruit, vanilla, subtle oak, and gentle spice, with a smooth, fruity finish. Bottled at 40% ABV, it is an approachable expression of traditional Normandy Calvados.
