The Macallan’s Distil Your World Hong Kong edition is the fourth release in its global-city tribute series. Crafted in collaboration with lead whisky maker Euan Kennedy and the acclaimed Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca, this limited-edition single malt whisky seeks to capture the vibrant, ever-evolving spirit of Hong Kong through flavour, design and story. 

• Volume: 700 mL

• ABV: 46.8% (93.6 proof) — standard bottling strength for this edition. 

• Cask maturation: A marriage of sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads and American oak casks, marrying tradition and global influences. 

• Theme: Focused on Hong Kong’s blend of tradition and modernity, East and West, and the sensory textures of its markets, architecture and culinary culture. 

• Release: Extremely limited; marketed in the Asia-Pacific region from early 2025, with fewer than 500 bottles for the U.S. market. 

• Packaging & design: Housed in a deep blue case inspired by the waters surrounding Hong Kong; features art that echoes the city’s skyline and harbour. 

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Rich amber-gold hue with reflections of copper and dusk-light over Victoria Harbour. 
Nose: A layered bouquet of ginger and cinnamon spices; tropical fruits such as mango, pomelo and grapefruit; hints of honey, egg-tart pastry and antique oak. 
Palate: Broad and textured, you’ll find bright tropical sweetness, citrus zest, spicy ginger, and a subtle umami depth balanced by structural oak and spice.
Finish: Long and elegant — lingering notes of dried fruit, gentle spice, antique oak and a subtle mineral / maritime hint that evokes the harbour setting.
